About Us

Holbrook Handcrafts is in reality Tom and Cathy Holbrook of Normal, Illinois.  After raising their two sons, Tim and Jeff, and retiring from Illinois State University, Tom decided to take up woodworking to stay out of Cathy's hair and driving her crazy.  Having renovated every room in the house, he switched to smaller projects that involved less plumbing and foul language.  Cathy has been sewing for as long as she can remember.  After her retirement from ISU and State Farm, she decided to buy the first of two computerized embroidery/sewing machines.  After running out of relatives to give their creations to, they decided to try their hands at selling their products as HOLBROOK HANDCRAFTS to help support their new additions.  Come see us at our booth at one of the many Makers Markets at the Destihl Brewery or at the Sugar Creek Arts Festival in the fall on the streets of Uptown Normal.
